About Seattle Ultrasonics

At Seattle Ultrasonics, we want to help every home cook feel great about themselves in the kitchen. And for us, that mission starts with making a better knife. 

Our founder, Scott Heimendinger, has been working on some version of this mission for the past 15 years. He was previously the CMO and Chief Innovation Officer for Anova, and Director of Applied Research for Modernist Cuisine. Scott was also a founder of Sansaire, a first-wave sous vide startup.

Prior to his career in culinary innovation, Scott worked for Microsoft and IBM developing business intelligence software. In 2012, Scott was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” and has been inducted into the ISVA Sous Vide Hall of Fame.

He's also passionate about recreational lasers, robots, and ideas that make you laugh and then make you think.
